(Activate when done)
Goto: Menu » Settings » Connectivity » Data transfer » Server sync:
Mark Contacts & Calendar » Yes to start synchronization

Nokia Series 40 - Manual Setup
It is observed that some series-40 phones are not receptive to SMS-based service setting sent to it.
In such cases, the affected user typically experiences no sms received after it had been sent from O-Sync upon user request.
In some cases, a newer device firmware (eg. 5.x on Nokia 6230) might helps to work around.
Nevertheless, you will have to consult your operator for access point information for Internet connection.
